bakes by lo was created in 2015 by combining laura's passion for baking and love for art. five years of decorating cookies by herself in a tiny apartment paved the path to a storefront in center street market. she loves this community and getting to watch her baby bakery grow.

emma found a passion of baking & decorating just a few short months after working the front counter with us. she is bright, theatrical, and has a great selection of goofy socks! she comes to us from marion where she returns often, especially for the annual popcorn festival!

karleigh came to us in 2023 and quickly showed us her incredible work ethic, her love for animals, and her goofy sense of humor. she is responsible for the delicious cookies on the counter, thick & tasty brownies, and so much more. outside of work, where you find karleigh, you'll find her adorable aussie pup, leo!
